It was another crazy week on the Surf Countdown with a new song taking over the #1 spot. Scotty McCreery with his 2018 CBMA National Dance Song “Barefootin” took the top honors away from Jim Quick and Coastline who held the #1 position for the past two weeks with “Cleaning Windows”. The Embers featuring Craig Woolard continue to rate high for a number. “Be with the One You Love” moved back up to #2 after dropping a couple of spots last week.
New Songs on the Chart
Two songs made their debut this week. “I’ll Never Let You Go” by Blackwater Rhythm and Blues featuring Doug Winstead made its debut at #18. Coming in at #12 was “The Rest of Me” by Rick Strickland. Based on requests to the studio and the chart, we will add songs to the ratings form each kfor consideration.
Leaps and Drops
A total of five songs dropped three spots or more and seven songs jumped three spots or more. The largest leap this week was “Mixed Emotions” by Lesa Hudson with an eleven spot increase over last week. As you can see, the Surf Countdown is based exclusively on your vote each week with all songs starting back at zero points on Saturday. I appreciate each of you taking the time to cast your vote and encourage you to share the Surf Countdown voting link with your friends so they can be a part of this exciting process. As I often say “You Rate ‘em and We’ll Play ‘em” which we will do next Saturday at 10:00 am.
